and quality!

i've posted 7 works on AO3 in the past six months, which is more than i've ever done in such a short amount of time.

...actually, now that i've checked, 2012 had a similar amount of works between may and october — but that includes reuploads/reposts to AO3 of 2 older fics, and 3 works that were part of one series (which i think about as one work, tbh). the one work i orphaned was also, i think, posted in 2012. wow. damn. i wrote a lot of words throughout 2012.

but i'm writing a lot of words now, too! 7 discrete works and a list of 15 or so prompt fills since november-ish. i think i'm really finding my stride for shorter (1-3k) works; there's still a lot i struggle with when it comes to paring down an idea, but writing smaller, self-contained things has felt really great. it's nice to write something with minimal planning. not to say that S11 au as a whole (or any other, longer thing) was unsatisfying in some way, but idk, it's been nice to write shorter things lately.

after posting an older halo fic today, i kinda want to dig through the rest of my fic folder and see if there isn't anything else floating around that i never finished or posted. this was a fun fic to revisit, even if flipping through mortal dictata to fact-check myself ended up being very frustrating. i think i have some unfinished golden kamuy genfic i never got around to finishing. we'll see!
