fic talk: unto the breach

yet again! i find myself in that situation where i have something written for a particular scene and yet! again! i get in the swing of writing it and use none of what i've already written. this isn't necessarily a complaint, but like, what phenomenon is this? how come my brain does this? left brain knoweth not something something?

anyways, this just about wraps up a Very Important Scene that i'm glad is finally done. i'm also glad that i ended up re-writing through what little i'd had planned for it, because i like it a lot better this way. i just have a connector segment of travel to write, then an Event i have partially written, and then this big chunk will be more or less ready to post. which is a wack thought, but again, i'm so happy i've gone back to writing this and it feels so good and i'm excited to share it. onwards, upwards, etc.

That happens to me too with fair frequency, whether it's overwriting a scene I'd already written or going off my outline. Especially with long term projects. Sometimes the brain is just like, "Hmm, no" and goes somewhere else instead.

I'm glad the writing is going well for you, and also very excited to see more of that story. :)
