I've always found the revision process enjoyable myself! It has its Moments of course but there's something so satisfying about seeing it all come together as you fill in those missing pieces and punch up what's already there.

How Much Canon, the eternal question and a really tricky balance to strike sometimes. Where it's necessary to cover canon events in a fic, my goal is typically a) to bring something new to the table even if the events haven't functionally changed, and b) to have it not feel substantially different from the rest of the fic. It's hard to make it seamless, but hiding the seams as much as possible!
